  • I wish it weren’t the (embarrassing) case, but when I get up in the morning, before my glasses are even on my face, my phone is in my hand and I’m checking in with all the places and people and messages. Today I forced (and believe me, that is no dramatic word choice) myself to just sit down and be with my art. Before Instagram. Before email. I read chapters from two art books and worked through the proposed exercises (even though I really didn’t ‘want’ to), and then, when I still had two hours left in my art-window and thought I had “no ideas”, forced myself to make a word web to try and spark an idea. And guess what? It sparked an idea (like it 👏🏼 al 👏🏼ways👏🏼 does). And guess what again? That idea turned into this illustration.   • Just when I think I’ve decided the blue one is my fave my brain goes “yeah but look at the pink!” So I change my mind and think “but look at the blue!” So that’s where I am today. In other news I’m dog sitting and am having lunch DELIVERED and might die of hunger before I make an actual decision because I’m excited and want to make the best choice.
